On November 23, 2019, my sister lost her battle with ovarian cancer. She fought valiantly for three years but, alas, the cancer proved a formidable opponent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I compiled a series of musings that I hoped would help me gather the pieces of my shattered soul. I humbly present this collection to you, dear reader. Dyan was a brave woman; the most courageous I knew. To me she was Diana, the warrior Goddess: free-spirited, independent, and fiercely protective of those she loved. Although my sister is gone, her spirit lives on in the stars. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, the author of The Little Prince, wrote:“You alone will have the stars as no one else has them\u2026In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so, it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night\u2026You\u2014only you\u2014will have stars that can laugh.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look up to see the stars and I hear the music of my sister\u2019s laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
